iPhone Blogging
At a 411 Social Media workshop, Tom Martin talked about how cellphones and computers are changing the way people cover stories and write blogs.
I can say for a fact that this is true because I’m typing this entire post from my iPhone. Using the WordPress app for the iPhone I can write posts, pages, and manage comments.
The pros: I can add in photos, copy texts/URL’s, create hyperlinks, and add tags/categories just like I would using my computer.
The cons: No spellcheck, little hard to type.
While I wouldn’t recommend typing long blog posts such as this one, mobile blogging is great for live blogging an event, blogging with little equipment, posting shorter posts.

Chris
I think you nailed it — perfect for short posts, live blogging, etc. In the not so distant future, embedded journalist will be able to document (in real time) using highly portable, mobile blogging devices like iPhones.
Thanks for the hat tip.

Thanks Tom,
It’s also nice to carry around a smaller device instead of having to lug a computer with you.
